This is Berita Harian’s feature on Muhd Asyraf Chumino. It is a moving life story. Asyraf quit school when he was 10 to take care of his mother after his dad died. He did the housework, cooked for his mother and siblings and taught himself at home. Asyraf eventually made it to Northlight School and became its best student. He’s currently studying Facility Technology at ITE College East and hopes to go to polytechnic just like his siblings. Congrats Asyraf, and press on! You fully merit the Lee Hsien Loong Award for Special Achievement, and are an inspiration to many.

Rencana Berita Harian ini tentang Muhd Asyraf Chumino. Sebuah cerita yang menyentuh hati. Asyraf berhenti sekolah pada umur 10 tahun untuk menjaga ibunya setelah bapanya meninggal dunia. Beliau terpaksa menguruskan kerja rumah dan memasak untuk ibu dan adik-beradik. Beliau juga belajar sendiri di rumah. Asyraf akhirnya memasuki Sekolah Northlight dan muncul sebagai pelajar terbaik. Beliau kini mengikuti kursus Teknologi Kemudahan di Kolej Timur ITE dan berharap untuk melanjutkan pengajian di politeknik seperti abang dan kakaknya. Syabas Asyraf, dan semoga terus berjaya! Anda benar-benar layak menerima Anugerah Lee Hsien Loong bagi Pencapaian Khas, dan menjadi inspirasi kepada semua. - LHL
